Privacy Policy

BTCZ Team ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile application BTCZ Awareness (formerly "BTCZ Kviz", the "App") for iOS and Android collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account data (no e-mail or phone number needed)

• Device identifier (device_id) – a random identifier created by the App, used to identify your account
• Restore code – lets you restore your account on a new device
• Points balance and activity – quiz completions, daily login, tasks, game results, referrals, shares and rewards
• Referral code of the user who invited you (optional)

b. Information you choose to provide

• BitcoinZ (BTCZ) wallet address – only if you add it, used to send the payouts you request
• Discord user ID or Telegram confirmation – only if you complete the matching social task

c. Information collected automatically

• IP address and request logs – for security, abuse prevention and debugging
• Device type, OS version and app version – for compatibility and bug fixing
• Push notification token – if you allow notifications
• Advertising identifier and ad interaction data – collected by Google AdMob (see section 3)

d. Location data – only if you use Drive & Earn

• Drive & Earn rewards you with BTCZ for the kilometres you drive. It is optional: no location is collected unless you open it and allow location access.
• While a trip is recorded, the App collects precise GPS location (latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed and time, about every 5 seconds) and whether the location comes from a "mock location" app.
• If you turn on automatic trips, the App also uses location and motion/physical activity data in the background, even when the App is closed or not in use, to detect when you start and stop driving. Outside of trips no route is stored or sent.
• Trip routes are sent to our server only to calculate and verify the kilometres (for example to detect walking, trains, planes or fake GPS), to check that you drove within the speed limits, and to prevent fraud.
• To look up the speed limits of the roads you drove, our server sends a simplified version of the route (points about every 150 m with their time, without your device identifier or any account data) to Mapbox (Map Matching API), which processes it only to return the matching roads and speed limits.
• Trip routes (GPS points) are deleted from our server after 30 days. A short summary of each trip (date, duration, kilometres, status) is kept while your account exists.
• Location data is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

We do not collect your name, e-mail, phone number, photos, contacts, microphone or camera data. Precise location is collected only as described in section 1d.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create, secure and restore your account
• Calculate points and rewards on our servers, apply daily limits and process payout requests
• Show progress and the leaderboard
• Send push notifications (you can turn them off in your device settings)
• Show ads and rewarded videos
• Prevent fraud and abuse, fix bugs and improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob – shows banner and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect the advertising identifier, IP address (approximate location), device information and ad interactions. Where required (e.g. in the EEA/UK) we ask for your consent through Google's consent form. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
• OneSignal – delivers push notifications using a push token and basic device information. See OneSignal Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play – process in-app purchases; we receive only the transaction confirmation, never your payment details.
• Mapbox – Map Matching API, used by our server to find the speed limits of the roads of a trip (Drive & Earn only; no account data is sent). See Mapbox Privacy Policy.
• CoinGecko API – used to fetch the BTCZ price (no personal data is sent).

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Besides the services listed above, we share data only with hosting providers under confidentiality, to comply with law, or to protect our rights, safety or property. Your wallet address is used only to send payouts; payout transactions are public on the BitcoinZ blockchain by nature.

5. Data Storage, Security and Retention

• Data is stored on secure servers in Europe
• All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS)
• Access is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account data is removed from our servers; server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and are then deleted

6. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can delete your account and its data at any time directly in the App: Profile → Delete Account. If you no longer have the App, follow the steps at btczkviz.btcz.rocks/static/delete-account.html.

You may also contact us to request access to or correction of your data, or to withdraw a consent.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted in the App or on this page.
